Between you and me
there’s space but there’s not distance
we’re close, you and me.
fall
Leaves
Life’s complicated.
Bruised and beautiful. Perfect.
Smell’s like fall spirit.
We Not He
Life’s not spent on knees.
Life should be spent in tall trees.
Sweat and sway and swoon.
Motion makers.
Tree shakers.
Autumn Atoms
Prowling cats, sunlight,
trees’ leaves fallen and wind creeps.
Fall is life inside.
Breathes and curls up.
Smokey silence.
Weekly Writing Challenge – Colors of Never Leaves
COLLABORATION by Amy Dunlap and Alex Burgoyne
Hot, not as red, just
above warm. In my belly
and my toes and nose.
A little bit uneven.
A little bit intriguing.
Hot, er than orange.
In my eyes and my head and
in my heart. Engulfs.
Glows.
Knows.
Wincing the night away.
I get knocked down, sun gets me
up again, again.
Her hair and my teeth.
My tack and her tea.
Fall is Here OR Winter is Almost Here OR Winter is Almost Still Here

Fall Time is Different This Year and Brightness Comes In the Winter
Good things come. Patience:
overrated. You are proof.
Life is infective.
